My name is Ashlyne and I want to tell stories that matter. Campaigns like Procter & Gamble’s “Strong is Beautiful” and Always “Like A Girl,” tell the type of important stories I aspire to create in my career. Telling stories that uplift, educate and inspire are the reasons I chose a career in public relations and advertising because we can reach so many people.
Currently, I am the corporate communications intern for the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), the world's largest equity derivatives clearing house. I support our internal communications team in communicating to over 700 employees in three cities about changes, events and news in our organization. This internship allows me to help OCC tell its story not only externally, but internally to the employees who are the most important component to any organization or brand.
In the two short years since moving to Chicago, I’ve supported a global organization’s brand launch, networked with countless PRAD professionals, pitched numerous campaigns and I’m just getting started! As PRAD professionals, we have the ability to change the world with our messaging, and I’m grateful to DePaul University and my internship for giving me the skills to do so.
